Wrk was featured in an article by BetaKit, a Canadian start-up news and tech innovation publication.
The article shared how Wrk landed $55 million CAD in funding after closing its Series A round of financing, led by White Star Capital and Omers Ventures, and how Wrk is on a mission to transform the way people work.
“We will use the money for growth, growth, growth,” said Wrk CEO Mohannad-El Barachi.
Laura Lenz, a partner at Omers Ventures, also said: “Wrk is focused on the simple tasks that consume at least 10 percent of all of our workdays. I also think automation has an important role to play in a world where talent is scarce. We need to find ways to take the boring, mundane tasks out of people’s day-to-day to keep these jobs attractive.”
